Bud Boettcher

Memorial services for Charles Edward "Bud" Boettcher, 88, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, The Rev. Tammy Wooliver will officiate.

Mr. Boettcher passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home. He was born February 4, 1929 at Columbus, NE to Edward Julius and Mary Gertsch Boettcher.

He married Joan Christiansen September 9, 1949. Bud was a former restaurant owner in Nebraska and later he and his family moved to Ada in August, 1963. He was employed with Farm Bureau Insurance Company from 1963 until retiring in 1998 as the District Manager. Bud was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He served on the Vestry and for over 20 years he tirelessly maintained the beautiful landscaping in the courtyard of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Joan, of the home; three sons, Chris Boettcher and wife Donna of Carrollton, TX, Steven Boettcher of Tulsa and John Boettcher and wife Debi of Ada; two daughters, Cathie Harding and Anne Gray, both of Ada; his eight grandchildren, Jordan Boettcher, Reed Boettcher and wife Gloria, David Boettcher and wife Ashley, Carol Kibodeaux and husband Kyle, Christy Henneke and husband Tyler, Chelsee Gray, Kaleigh Gray and Rylee Gray; and seven great-grandchildren, Isabell Boettcher, Lydia Boettcher, Cason Boettcher, Avery Boettcher, Madeline Kibodeaux, Katelyn Henneke and Garrett Henneke.
