CATHERINE CALDWELL

ADA-Services for Catherine Louise Caldwell, 84, Ada, are 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2007, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Charles Teel officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Ms. Caldwell died on Monday, September 10, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was born August 22, 1923, at Duncan, Oklahoma, to John Gustin and Ruby Ann Sloan Caldwell. She graduated from Roff High School. She retired after 39-1/2 years from Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator. She worked in the Ada office until it closed then transferred to Oklahoma City and worked until she retired. She later moved back to Ada. During her tenure with Southwestern Bell, Catherine received commendations for her work in handling emergency calls. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Ann Teel and her husband Truman Teel, of Stonewall; a brother, Jack E. Caldwell and his wife Barbara, of Wichita, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Merigold Caldwell, Montgomery, Alabama; four nieces, Marilyn Teel Ellis and Sandra Teel, Ada; Carolyn Caldwell Neal, Montgomery, Alabama; and Judy Caldwell Walsh, Rancho Santa Fe, California; four nephews, Frank "Skipper" Caldwell, Texas; Charles Teel, Conroe, Texas; Larry Caldwell, Granite Bay, California; and Curtis Caldwell, Oklahoma City; 9 great nephews, 4 great nieces, and 10 great great nieces and nephews.

Bearers are Curtis Caldwell, Nathan Teel, Alan Teel, David Ellis, David Ellis Jr. and Daron Ellis.
