Obituary

Services for Carolyn Eloise Rauch, 80, Roff, are 1:00pm, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Fitzhugh Baptist Church of Fitzhugh, OK.  Mrs. Rauch died Friday, May 3rd at home.  She was born Aug 21, 1943 in Pauls Valley, OK.  She attended Lawton Schools as well as Stillwater her senior year, where she was a graduate. She also graduated from Oklahoma State University.

She married Kenneth Rauch on June 1, 1962.  Both graduated from Oklahoma State University.  She had her first son in 1965, followed by another in 1967 and a daughter in 1970.  Through her children's early years, she was a stay-at-home mom.

Some of her accomplishments include: She received her Bachelor's degree at OSU, she was an accomplished seamstress, held a Realtors license at Maxwell Real Estate and Margaret Barton Real Estate in Ada, OK, was a life insurance agent with Woodmen of the World and a few others.  In addition, she had an excellent soprano voice, and spent many years in the First Presbyterian Choir and later the First Methodist Choir, both of Ada.  Her green thumb was legendary when it came to gardening and houseplants.  She also did much volunteer work with the Cub Scouts, and later with the 4H club of Roff.  She taught piano lessons for many years.

Carolyn was a very determined individual, and if she decided something needed to be done, she did not rest until it was.

She was loved deeply by all her family and friends, and we will miss her forever.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Red) and Eloise Calvert, husband Kenneth Rauch and daughter Carole Rauch Tapp.  Survivors include her sons:  Craig Rauch and wife Pattie, Kenneth Rauch and wife Julie, her grandchildren:  William Marshall Rauch and wife Angelique, Brooke Skokos and husband Nick, and Blake Rauch and wife Lizzie. Other survivors are great granddaughter Ashton London and fiancé Homar Morales, and great grandson Shawn London and wife Cheyenne. Carolyn is also survived by her brother Gary Calvert, and her step daughter Angela Bunyard and husband Coleman.
