CAROLYN MELTON
VANOSS-Services for Carolyn Omegia Melton, 65, of Vanoss are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Melton died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at her home. She was born January 16, 1949 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Robert Othorpe and Syble Eulala Smith Wiser. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Roosevelt, OK.
She married Charlie Bill "Richard" Melton on July 26, 1965 in Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1996. Mr. and Mrs. Melton moved to Ada in 1981 from Altus. Mrs. Melton was employed at Ballard's Care Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Omegia Ross and her husband Mark of Ada, and Cheryl Brandenburg and her husband Stoney of Ada; one grandchild, Erica Omegia Sutton of Wagoner, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Bobby Joe Wiser and Johnny Lee Wiser.
Bearers will be David Eidson, Brent Bailey, Josh Gilliam, Chad Green, Dwayne Cape and Larry Gregory.
