Memorial services for Carole Jane VanMeter, 76, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Criswell Funeral Home, Pastor Steve Wilburn will officiate.  Burial will be at Maud Cemetery.

Mrs. VanMeter passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home in Ada.  She was born December 3, 1944 in Ada to Steve Mitchell Jr. and Ruth Barton Kerr.  She was a retired Registered Nurse and worked for a local hospital for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband, John E. VanMeter of 58 years, Ada; one daughter, Kande Hollock and husband Pete, Durant; one son, Judd VanMeter and wife Toni, Blanchard; granddaughter's, Savannah Boyd and husband Jake, Texarkana, TX, Sadie Ferguson and husband Kyle, Whitesboro, TX, Taylor Scott and husband Colten, Newcastle; grandson, Ty VanMeter, Blanchard; great grandchildren, Ayce Nelson, Cruse Ferguson, Boone Ferguson, Lola Ferguson, Dallas Boyd and Drue Boyd.
