Carol had a beautiful voice and sang solo at over 60 weddings.
She and her husband moved to California where he taught school, and she did Registered Clinical Laboratory Science work. They invested heavily into real estate and by the 1980's owned 13 LA area rental homes, 50 Houston, Texas apartment units, a home at Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and a mountain Cabin get away. Carol owned the regional veterinary lab at Del Mar race track for a number of years. Due to back problems and surgeries Carol retired in 2010. She then relocated to Temple, Texas to be near relatives.
For recreation she loved to travel the California roads in a Triumph Spitfire convertible and later in a Canary Yellow 1969 Corvette and white Rover. They were part owners of a sailboat with weekend sailing to Mexico and spent one summer in the Bahamas.
Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer which went into remission for a few years. She moved to Ada, Oklahoma Baptist Village for a few years which she really enjoyed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill, sister Fairy Peek Johnson, and brother Tom. She is survived by brother Peter Paul Peek and other relatives.
Memorial Services will be held at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma at 2 PM on August 14, 2026.
