CARMAN BURNS
ADA-Services for Carman de Lane Burns, 39, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at The River Church, Tony Folger will officiate.
Mr. Burns died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1971, to Theron "Buck" and Carolyn Risner Burns at Ada. He attended grade school in Ada and Homer and graduated from Byng High School. He attended East Central University. While at ECU, he served as president of the Human Resources Club and the Student Rehabilitation Association. Mr. Burns received the Richard Baumgartner Scholarship and was initiated for the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. He had been employed as a production supervisor at various plastics plants in Oklahoma, Mississippi and Louisiana for 16 years. He attended Union Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Brittany Barrett, Florida, Kinesha Holtman, Ada, Justice Burns, of the home, and Lacy Tillery and husband Chad, Ada; his mother, Carolyn Burns, Ada; two sisters, Dawn Cantwell and husband Hershel, Ada, and Rebecka Casey and husband Chuck, Ada; two brothers, Stacy Burns, Arizona, and Matthew Burns, Ada; his grandmother, Kathryn Risner, Bartlesville; one grandson, Boston Lowe; eight nieces; one nephew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Vernon and Ima Jo Burns and Benjamin Risner.
