Services for Carliss Gurshan Briggs, 57, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Philemon Baptist Church, Rev. Ronnie Amous will officiate.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Briggs passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home.  She was born November 24, 1963 in Ada, to Jackie Henry and Vernola Colbert Rollins.

Survivors are her father and his wife, Tex Rollins and Anna Heibebrecht, Oklahoma City, OK; son, Jackie Jeron Rollins and wife Tashina, Norman, OK; two daughters, Cuisheena Rollins, Ada, Cessli Jeffers, Ada; brother, Matthew Rollins and wife Virginia, Edmond; sister, April Rollins, Ada; nine grandchildren, Kency Morris, Jaki, Jordyn and Kiera Rollins, Syncere and Tristan Rollins; and Zacarrius Medrano, Zion and Maddix Davis; goddaughter, Sky Worley and her god babies Aamina and Audry; her aunts, Sharon Shelton, Claudine Colbert, Elaine Irons and Doranda Colbert; and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vernola Colbert Rollins; her in-laws, William H. Briggs, Sr.  and Ella Mae Briggs; a nephew, Donnie Lane; and her aunts, Ella Mae Harding Hill and Rosie Colbert McCoy.

Bearers are Matthew Harding, Joseph Warrior, Marcus Rogers, Garrett Briggs, Jackie Rollins and Theron Richardson. Honorary bearers are Cody Lyons, Tyler Harding, William Briggs, Sr., Victor Cooper, Ronald Harding, Joshua Watson, Ryan Briggs, William Briggs, III, and Daron Davis.

Flower girls are Starla Cooper, Elise Briggs, Tiffany Charles, Kelsey Wood, Stone Moore, Jessica Finley and Aiyanna Lane. Honorary flower girls are Varnita McDowell, Sandra Beck, Donna Lane, Philemon Baptist Church Choir, April Rollins and Sheila King.
