Services for Calvin Ray “Cowboy” Mackey, 76, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at New Beginnings Church, Rev. Roger Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood, OK. The family will receive relatives and friends at Criswell Funeral Home, Monday, September 28, 2026, from 5 to 7p.m.

Mr. Mackey died Thursday, September 24, 2026, at his home. He was born September 13, 1950, in Oklahoma City, OK to CR and Lavera Canada Mackey.

Mr. Mackey served in the U.S. Army, owned a concrete finishing company and later trained Thoroughbred race horses. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing golf, restoring cars, and loved horses and coon hunting.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth Mackey of Ada; daughter, Shandy Maloy and husband Bill of Ada; brother, Alva Rue Mackey of Ada; two grandchildren, Katelin Sampson and Braden Maloy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Mackey; his parents; and sister, Ann Mackey.

Bearers will be, Braden Maloy, Ronny Mackey, Clint Mackey, Micah Mackey, Riley Mackey, Paden Mackey, Austin Mackey and Owen Mackey.
