ALLEN-Services for Butchie Faye Arleen Mays, 68, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church in Allen. Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate.
Ms. Mays died Monday, August 13, 2012 at an Allen nursing home. She was born September 29, 1943 in Ventura, California to Ivan Lee Wolfe, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Hardwick Wolfe. She moved to this area five years ago from Tennessee.
Ms. Mays was a cook in the restaurant industry and was a great seamstress who enjoyed making her children's clothes, dolls and doll clothes. She loved 4-H and was a 4-H leader for many years.
Survivors include her children, Mark Diener of Tennessee, Meisha Castro of California, Keri Long of Allen and Juli Diener of Allen; a sister, Audrey Carleen Gabaldron of Bakersfield, CA; a brother, Ivan Wolfe and wife Alma Jean of Prescott, AZ; and a half-brother, Jeff Wolfe of Bakersfield, CA; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many loving cousins and friends in Allen.
She was preceded in death by a son, Greg Diener; brother, Hank Wolfe; and half-brother, Scott Wolfe.
