Brezilla "Brezzy" Alexander
Services for Brezilla Lee "Brezzy" Alexander, 82, of Stonewall are 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Stonewall; Rev. Famous Cochran and Pastor Tom Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Alexander passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, at her home. She was born March 20, 1943, in Coalgate to Calvin and Bertha Cochran Alexander.
Ms. Alexander graduated from Tupelo High School and was a cook until her retirement.
She loved going to church and spending time outdoors, especially canning, gardening, picking wild onions and okra, and taking care of the lawn. She was happiest in the kitchen making homemade salsa and chow-chow.
Survivors include her daughter, Latonya Washington, of Stonewall; three sisters, Vester Johnson, of Stonewall, Gladys Monroe, of Ada, and June Fulsom and husband Arthur of Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard Ray Alexander and James Alexander; and sisters, Beulah Booker, Effie Washington, and Ruth Grant.
Bearers are Darrel Monroe, Richard Brown, Michael Fulsom, Daryl Hamilton, Freddie Cochran, and Steven Brown. Honorary bearers are Vester Johnson, Stephanie Monroe, Kay Miller, Mike Anderson, Houston Brown, Kevin Booker, and Deirdre Hester. Flower Bearers are Myisha Nelson, Mia Monroe, Susie Moore, Makala Hamilton, and Misty Brown.
