Bobbye Sloan

Memorial services for Bobbye Louise Sloan, 79, of Ada are 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate.

Ms. Sloan passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at an Ada nursing home. She was born July 23, 1939 at Atwood to Clarence William "Bill" and Rennie Marguerite "Peachy" Lewis Miller. She attended Pleasant Hill Grade School and graduated from Stonewall High School in 1957. She received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from East Central University.

Ms. Sloan was a retired teacher, having taught at Lindsay, Rancho Cordova, CA, Shoshone, ID, McLish and East Central University. She was a member of Fittstown Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Hartley Sloan of Ada; a daughter, Lisa Rose Sloan of Mullan, ID; four grandchildren, Clint, Weston, Landon and Talowa; four great grandchildren; a brother, Doug Miller and wife Thalia of Ada; and a sister, Billye McCurley and husband Bob of Lynchburg, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jane Treat.
