Bobby Smith

Services for Bobby Lee Smith, 90, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Fort Towson Church of Christ, Rev. Richard Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Ft. Towson Cemetery immediately afterward. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith died Sunday, May 17, 2026 at his home. He was born August 18, 1935 in Borger, TX to Isaac Horace and Callie Key Smith.

He served in the U. S. Army, later received his master’s degree and retired from teaching at Sasakwa School.

Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Taylor and husband Frank; five grandchildren, Amity Pegg and husband Tim, Samuel Smith and wife Arina, Sara Rice and husband Jason, Emily Lee and husband Aaryn and Ashley OGans; seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Callan, Naomi, Alyce, Damian, Isaiah and Cadence; one brother, Lonnie Smith; two sisters, Delores Collins and Mary Jo Barnett; several nieces and nephews; and his caretakers, Debra Thurman and Shelly Shores.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Jean Smith; brothers, R.C. Smith, Grover Smith, Isaac Smith; sisters, Martha Jean Harper and Gladys Hester; and son, Randall Smith.
