BOBBY ROBERTSON
ADA-Services for Bobby Gene Robertson, 83, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Robertson died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at a local nursing home. He was born October 3, 1924 in the Lawrence Community, near Ada, Oklahoma to Walter and Janie Fine Robertson. He attended school at Lawrence and Fitzhugh High School.
He married Gerry Smith on July 11, 1944 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mr. Robertson was an aircraft mechanic with the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas from 1952 until retiring in 1976. He and his wife returned to Ada in 1970. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. from 1943-1946 in the Pacific Theatre. He was also a member of Ada Lodge #119 A F & A M.
Survivors include his wife, Gerry Robertson, of the home; a son, Charles "Butch" Robertson and wife Judy, Barton, New York; a daughter, Becky Maxey and husband Brian, Allen, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Biggs and husband Wayne, Ada, and Sue Bunch, Garland, Texas; one grandson, Jared Maxey, Shawnee; two granddaughters, Lauren Maxey, Allen, Texas, and Danielle Moraitis, Barton, New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Brian Robertson.
Bearers will be Wayne Biggs, Gary Biggs, Rusty Biggs, Glen Gouge, Dennis McDonald, Bob Mayberry, Paul Elliott, and James Cornell.
