BOBBY LINKER
ADA-Services for Bobby Ray Linker, 77, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Majors Mark and LeighAnn Craddock will officiate. Burial will be 1:00 p.m Thursday at Centrahoma Cemetery.
Mr. Linker died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born March 9, 1937 in Centrahoma, Oklahoma. He was reared by his grandparents, Mary Addie and Simon Ishmael Linker. He graduated from Byng High School in 1955 and later attended the Police Academy in Norman.
He married Judy Sadler on August 15, 1963. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2012 in Ada. Mr. Linker was a police officer for the Ada Police Department until his retirement and later retired from the East Central University Security Department. He was a faithful Soldier and Corps Sergeant Major of The Salvation Army until it's closing in 2009. He then attended Ada First Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Linker was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include his two daughters, Robin Hansen of Ada, and Charlotte Gargis and her husband Carlyle of Moore, OK; his grandchildren, Michael Steward and his wife Annistasia of Covington, KY, Charlsie Godwin and her husband Ben of Atlanta, GA, Kellianne Hansen and Charlie Hansen, both of Ada; and a sister, Christine Linker of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his grandparents; and siblings, Louise Linker Hammock, Nora Elizabeth Linker, Clyde E. Linker, Naomi Bosworth, Lillie Mae Linker Crabb, Freddy Leon Linker, James Andrew Linker, Raymond Allen Linker, infant twins and an infant sibling.
Bearers will be J. D. Norman, Harvey Phillips, Willie Marion, Randy Knighten, Bob Linker and John Linker.
