Bobby Johnson

Services for Bobby Johnson, 80, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Ada First Baptist Church, Revs. Jerry Wells and Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at his home. He was born February 23, 1941 in Ada, OK to Ranzy Thomas and Shula Vay VanZant Johnson.

He married Laura Sammie Anderson September 14, 1962 in Ada. Mr. Johnson had worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Brockway Glass Company for 29 years. He later was employed with the Latta School System for 14 years. Mr. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sammie, of the home; three daughters, Laura Reed and Ken Davis, Ada, Jana Young and husband Clay, Ada and Karen Crockett and husband Mark, Denton, TX; seven grandchildren, Amanda Cruz and husband Daniel, Steven Reed and wife Shelby, Colton Young, Krisha Murphy and husband Gage, Caleb Crockett and fiancé Grace, Maggie Crockett, and Creed Crockett; his great-grandchildren, Ashton and Acean Anderson, Easton Reed, Kayte Cruz, Blane Cruz, and soon to be Aylee Cruz; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristi Lea Johnson; three brothers, Gerald, Tommy and Billy; and three sisters, Betty June Leslie, Earlene West and Eula Vay Pinley.

Bearers will be Steven Reed, Caleb Crockett, Creed Crockett, Daniel Cruz, Gage Murphy, Colton Young and Skip Waller.
