Bob G. Treat

Services for Bob G. Treat, 84, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Allen Church of Christ, Tommy McFerran and Mark Legg will officiate. Burial will follow at Gerty Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Treat passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his home. He was born September 18, 1932 at Atwood to Doc and Mary Walsa Griffin Treat. He graduated from Oklahoma City University.

He married Joyce Dilbeck in 1952 at Allen. Mr. Treat was a railroad telegrapher and later moved back to Oklahoma City and was employed as a supervisor for Ralston-Purina Company, retiring after 15 years of service. He and his family also founded Treat's Janitorial Supply in Ada. After his retirement, he and his family moved back to Atwood. Mr. Treat was an active member of the Allen Church of Christ and he had served in the U. S. Army from 1950 – 1951.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; three sons, John Treat and wife Debra of Ada, Jerry Treat and wife Pat and Jeffrey Treat of Atwood; a daughter, Brenda Stewart and husband Jeff of Atwood; one brother, Jack Treat of Durant; sister, Betty Chandler of Mustang; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Chloe Seamon and Gloria Noblett.
