BOB JACKSON
ADA-Services for Bob Jackson, 71, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at his home. He was born December 20, 1939 at Gaar Corner, Oklahoma to Buell and Edith Maddox Jackson. He graduated from Vanoss High School in1959.
He married Ruth Ann Miller on June 19, 1964 at Gaar Corner. Mr. Jackson was a self-employed carpenter until his retirement. He was longtime member of Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Jackson, of the home; a daughter, Vanessa Ellinger and her husband Ken, Dalton, GA; two sons, Stacy Jackson and his wife Jami, Ada, and Tracy Jackson and his wife Ka Lyn, Ada; six grandchildren, Ericka Ellinger, Ada, Evan and Elyssa Ellinger, Dalton, GA, Nikki Jackson, B. J. Jackson, and Kade Jackson, all of Ada; and three sisters, Patricia Law, Stratford, Rita McCurtain, Davis, and Melba Wood, Durant.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Bearers will be Bill Adams, Hugh Brasher, John Wayne Hoggatt, Bill Johnson, Jim Kunze and Ben Walker. Honorary bearers will be all the members of the Stephens-Adams Hometeam.
