Bob Hester, Jr.

Services for Robert Barton "Bob" Hester, Jr., 88, of Edmond, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada.

Mr. Hester passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at an assisted living center in Edmond. He was born May 10, 1937 in Wilson, OK to Robert Barton Hester, Sr. and Beaulah Fayola Little Hester.

He married Albern Louise "Lou" Murray May 12, 1956. Mr. Hester was a home builder, real estate agent and an appraiser until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Hester of Edmond; son, Dale Hester and wife Michelle of Edmond; two daughters, Vickie Platt and husband Jim of Ada and Robbie Scott and husband Tony of Edmond; four grandchildren, Christopher Scott, Edmond, Jessica Scott and husband, Jeff Payne, Edmond, Landon Hester, Reno, NV and Erin Hover and husband Jesse, Yukon; three great-grandchildren, Addison Scott, Austen Scott and Ellison Payne all of Edmond; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Nolan and Eddie Hester; and a sister, Loretta Jones.

Bearers will be Jim Platt, Tony Scott, Christopher Scott, Landon Hester, Rauni Sherrell and Rob Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Bill Nelson, Bennie Cope, Bill Adams, Greg Fowler and Mark Cox.
