Services for Billy Alden Whelchel, 81, of Connerville, OK are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Temple of God, Pastor Ron Crosby will officiate.

Mr. Whelchel passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at his home.  He was born March 28, 1941 in Pontotoc, OK to Earl and Viola Peppers Whelchel.

Mr. Whelchel is survived by his wife, Imogene Whelchel, of the home; five grandchildren, Brittany Whelchel, of Connerville, Jessica Beall and husband Anthony, of Ada,  Blake Whelchel and wife Chesna, of Lula, Anthony Leader and Lance Whelchel, both of Ravia; and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Anthony Whelchel; two brothers, Gene Whelchel and Joe Whelchel and one sister, Ethel Burden.

Bearers are Anthony Beall, Shane Cole, Byron Johnson, Josh Factor, Bruce Woods, Mark Poe and James Poe.  Honorary bearers are Jaxton Davis, Jonavon Davis, William "Little Bill" Golden, Kaden Postoak, David Poe and Steve Bell.
