BILL SIMPSON
ADA-Services for Billy Dan Simpson, 79, Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Pat Kilby and Rev. Harold Ware officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Chickasaw Honor Guard at the cemetery.
Mr. Simpson died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at a local nursing home. He was born Aug. 11, 1931, to William T. and Tempa Dandridge Simpson at Fitzhugh. He graduated from Fitzhugh Schools and attended East Central University. He retired from Ideal Cement after 40 years of employment and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ada and the Ada Elks Lodge. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He and Joyce Moran were married Feb. 24, 1951, in Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Simpson, of the home; three sons, Ron Simpson, Oklahoma City, Rick Simpson and wife Ann, Edmond, and Jamie Simpson and wife Melinda, Ardmore; and four grandchildren, Zac Simpson and Rachel Simpson, Edmond, and Jessica Simpson and Austin Simpson, Ardmore.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lola Smith, and a brother, Raymond Simpson.
Bearers will be Glen Griffin, Bill Black, Glen Taylor, Leon Erwin, Arch Hill and Glen Herrin.
