BOB ROBERTS
OKLAHOMA CITY-Services for Bob Roberts, 81, Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Ryan Humble will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born October 26, 1930, in Vanoss, to Walter Hugh and Victoria Josephine Ussery Roberts. He attended school at Vanoss and graduated from Ada High School in 1948. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1959.
He married Mary Helen Ray Ferguson on June 7, 1997, in Ada. Mr. Roberts was the owner and operator of Roberts Auto Salvage. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was an avid OU fan.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Roberts, of the home; two daughters, Kathy Hamby of Bentonville, AR, and Sherri Hogue and husband Scotty of Ada; three sons, Eric Roberts and his wife Stephanie of Ada, Brand Roberts and his wife Debra of Tulsa, and Brian Enright and wife JoElla of Yukon; a step-son, Brad Ferguson and his wife Celine of Oklahoma City; a step-daughter, Vicki Fryar of Norman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Gifford of Ada; and a cousin, Bill Myers of Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Farron Roberts and Guynn Roberts.
Bearers will be Brad Ferguson, Brian Enright, Brand Roberts, Eric Roberts, Roy Nolen and Steve Turner.
