Obituary

Billy Bose Jack, II

Billy Jack finally made it to heaven on May 23, 2020. He was surrounded by his entire family. Billy was born in 1942 in Sulphur. After graduating from Sulphur High School, he joined the Navy and served his country. He served on the Bonhomme Richard aircraft carrier.

After he got out of the Navy, he married Carolyn Diane O'Neal. They were married for 50 years. His beloved wife passed away in 2015.

Billy began a life of serving Christ as a music minister in several churches. He was truly blessed with an amazing voice. People loved to hear him sing. Not many people could sing an old gospel hymn and bring people to tears. Billy could!

Billy was extremely proud of his Chickasaw heritage. He began teaching his children at an early age about their Chickasaw roots. In 1985, he began an almost three-decade service to the Chickasaw Nation. He was a drug and alcohol counselor and touched many lives in helping to break the cycle of addiction.

Billy is survived by his three sons, Billy, Troy and Tyler Jack. He was the best Papaw to his grandkids, Taryn, Tanner, Barrick, Natalie and Colton Jack. Billy loved his daughters-in-law, Marcy, Julia and Cheri Jack with all his heart. Billy is also survived by his brothers, John Walter and Anita Jack, Jerry Van and Jennette Jack; and sister, Valladee and Larry Mortonson.

Billy left behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn; and his sister, Ladenna Jack.

Honorary pallbearers are Cole Jack, Taryn Jack, Tanner Jack, Colton Jack, Barrick Jack and Natalie Jack.
