BILL HORTON
ROFF-Services for Billy R. Horton, 78, Roff, are 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Laverne Farmer officiating. Burial follows at Coalgate Cemetery in Coalgate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Horton died on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at his home. He was born July 5, 1932, in Coalgate to Roach and Bessie Jewell Chastain Horton. He attended Olney and Limestone Gap schools and moved to the Roff area about 50 years ago. He owned feed stores in Roff and Sulphur and was a truck driver.
He married Lottie Ward in 1951.
Survivors include his wife, Lottie, of the home; 2 sons, Billy Joe Horton and wife Sabra, Roff; and David Horton and wife Tammy, Eufaula; 3 daughters, Sandra Odom and husband Louie, Vanoss; Brenda Brady and husband Lance, Stonewall; and Linda Monday and husband Billy, Stonewall; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charley Horton and wife Liz, Coalgate; 4 sisters, Bessie Ray and husband Charles, Clarita; Betty Ray, Roff; Viola New, McAlester; and Emma Reed and husband Calvin, Mustang, OK; sister-in-law, Elsie Horton, Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
Bearers are Tony Lamoni, Chuck Horton, James Horton, Corey Horton, Lonnie Ray, Cody Ray and Cam Ray. Honorary bearers are Jimmy Ray, Ricky Brady, Clint Sutton, Dillon Monday, Billy Monday, Lance Brady, Scott Munts, Kenny Muntz, Stephen Prince and Josh Burton.
