Billy Hodges

Graveside services for Billy Dean Hodges, 76, of Stonewall are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Crinerville Cemetery, west of Ardmore, Rev. Randy Golden will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the family home, 1204 Legacy Drive in Ada.

Mr. Hodges passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his home. He was born June 24, 1940 in Ada to Calvin and Dorothy Tudor Hodges. He attended Byng schools and graduated from Plainview High School near Ardmore.

He married Frances Callender November 19, 1959 at Ardmore. Mr. Hodges was a fireman for the Ada Fire Department, retiring in 1991 as the Assistant Fire Chief, after 20 years of service. He was also a rancher and a member of the B. P. O. E. #1640 Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; a son, Dean Hodges of Stonewall; a daughter, Serena Hodges of Ada; one sister, JoAnn Bacon of Texas; a brother, Stanley Hodges of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Justin and Brandi Hodges; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; one brother; and a sister.
