BILLY RAY DAVIS

ADA-Services for Billy Ray Davis, 74, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bobby Pearce will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Davis died Monday, March 16, 2009 at his home. He was born March 30, 1934 at Sulphur, Oklahoma to Homer Lee and Essie Jane Collum Davis. He lived in this area all his life and attended Dolberg school.

Mr. Davis was an auto mechanic and retired from Chief Pallet Company in Roff. He was also a lawn mower mechanic.

Survivors include one daughter, Paula M. Coplen, Ada; his mother, Essie Davis, of the home; four sisters, Rita Webb and husband Dale, Ruidoso, New Mexico, Jeanie Magar and husband Ronnie, Ada, Vicky Cheek and husband Larry, Ardmore, and Sheila Davis, of the home; two brothers, Homer Lee Davis, Jr. and wife Jayne, Galveston, TX and Johnny Davis and wife Loni, Garland, TX; a son-in-law, Roy Coplen, Sulphur; three grandchildren, Starla N. Tate and husband Justin Sr., Ada, Kara R. Coplen, Ada, and Jesse R. Coplen, Ada; two great grandchildren, Justin W. Tate, Jr. and Cory R. Tate; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, sisters, Wanda Houck, Linda Wheeler and Janie Garrett.

Bearers will be Jesse Coplen, Roy Coplen, Justin Tate Sr., Tate Shannon, Kenny Roberts and Vincent Kirk.
