ADA-Services for Billy Joe Cooper, 81, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Mike Dewiss will officiate. Burial will follow at Lula Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Cooper died Monday, December 3, 2012 at his home. He was born June 11, 1931 in Centrahoma, Oklahoma to Joe W. and Alyene V. Cross Cooper.
He married Nadine Partain on September 3, 1966 in Bakersfield, CA. Mr. Cooper was a carpenter and later a building inspector for the State of California. He and his family moved back to this area in 1994 from California. He was a member of the Melba Ave. Church of Christ in Atoka.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Cooper, of the home; his children, Linda Roberts, Morro Bay, CA, Dennis Cooper, Bakersfield, CA, Mila Loya, Ada, Jo Ellen Bobo and husband Danny, Denton, TX, Catherine Cash and husband Timothy, Harrisonburg, VA, and Ross Cooper and fiancé, Aubrey Watson, Haskell, OK; 13 grandchildren, Amy Penton, Berkley Roberts, Joseph Cooper, Jacob Cooper, Matthew Loya, Taylor Rose Loya, Bradley Bobo, James Bobo, Wilson Cash, Madison Cooper, Charlet Cooper, Gracie Cooper and Kayden Watson; and one great granddaughter, Parker Penton.
Bearers will be Ross Cooper, Ron Allen, Danny Bobo, Timothy Cash, Matthew Loya and Bradley Bobo.
