BILLIE WILLIAMS

DURANT-Services for Billie Jean Williams, Durant, formerly of Ada, are 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Criswell Chapel, Father John Norvell officiating.

Mrs. Williams died on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Sherman, Texas. She was born January 9, 1934, in Albion, Oklahoma to Clyde and Ruby Leathers Lovin. She graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central State College and was a long time member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was an effective administrator/manager, and she was employed by CIT and American General Financial Services until her retirement several years ago. Since then Billie Jean and Harold resided in Durant, Oklahoma, operating a successful personal business. "Nanny" will always be remembered as "the rock" to her family and she faced the last several months of uncertainty and adversity with dignity and optimism. She enjoyed her time with Harold, her home, managing the business, and her relationships with her family. She was an avid reader and she thoroughly enjoyed having the time/opportunity to pursue this endeavor.

She married Harold Gene Williams in 1969.

Survivors include her loving husband, Harold, of the home; her children, Linda Rains and husband Mark, Atoka; and Dr. Robert Waller, Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Stefanie Tweedy and husband Greg, Ada; Lindsay Glenn and husband Eric, Ada; Matthew and Chloe Waller, Oklahoma City; her great grandson, Cody Glenn; and a sister, Betty Eleggi, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Lovin, Ada.
