BILLIE JO SMITH
ADA-Graveside services for Billie Jo Smith, 78, Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Bud Ross will officiate.
Mrs. Smith died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born May 30, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma to B. J. and Rosa Bottoms Jennings. She graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central State College.
She married Harold Clay Smith November 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1999. Mrs. Smith was the bookkeeper for Whittle's Furniture and Appliances in Ada for several years until her retirement. She was an avid OU Football fan and a gardener.
Survivors include one son, Gary Smith and his wife Desa, Sulphur; one brother, J. B. Jennings and his wife Ann, Ada; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Bailey, Norman; seven grandchildren, Chris Smith and wife Stacy, Norman, Tarina Smith of California, Zachary Kolhoff and wife Jennifer of Florida, Shane Smith, Savanna Smith and Shawnda Smith, all of Sulphur, and Jenna Toledo and husband David of Noble; three great grandchildren, Ryan Kolhoff of Florida, Cullen Smith of Oklahoma City, and Caid Toledo of Noble; a special friend, Kim Gordy; and a beloved dog, Sassy.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shawn Smith.
