BILLIE SHELTON
ADA-Services for Billie Bernice Shelton, 69, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Union Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Randall Christy will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Shelton died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born May 23, 1940 at Atoka, Oklahoma to Bill and Omega Lawson. She lived in this area all her life and attended Union Valley High School.
She married Ted John Shelton on March 17, 1960 at Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2009 in Ada. Mrs. Shelton was a cook at Valley View Regional Hospital for 23 years and a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Ricky Shelton and wife Francene, Ada, Ted "Wayne" Shelton, Ada, and Timothy Shelton and wife Johnese, Ada; a daughter, Kim Rawson and husband Bobby, Ada; her mother, Omega Lawson, Ada; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Lawson, and a sister, Ginger Lawson.
Bearers will be Jerry Shelton, Mark Reed, Jeff Reed, Bobby Magar, Daniel Cruz, and Terry Manuel.
