Billie Jean McGee

Services for Billie Jean McGee, 88, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery.

Mrs. McGee passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born March 28, 1929 at Post, Texas to Claude and Annie Hill Brown. She attended school in Texas, and she attended the Lubbock School of Nursing.

She married Harold G. McGee July 2, 1947 in Amarillo, TX. He preceded her in death December 29, 2008 in Ada. Mr. and Mrs. McGee moved to this area in 1973 from Lubbock. Mrs. McGee was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of Homer Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ron McGee and his wife Diana of Ada; two grandchildren, Caron Deviney and her husband Michael Ray of Maysville and Michael Gene McGee and his wife Lynaea of Ada; four great grandchildren, Austin and Jaden McGee of Ada, Zane and Mackenzie Deviney and Devin Deviney of Maysville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Clyde Brown; and two sisters, Doris Twaddell and Sybil Simpson.
