BILL JORREY
HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS-Memorial services for Wilfred Leslie "Bill" Jorrey, 80, Hot Springs, Arkansas will be held at a later date.
Mr. Jorrey died Friday, June 12, 2009 at his home in Ada. He was born June 8, 1929 at Salisbury Center, New York to Robert M. and Elizabeth Snell Jorrey. He graduated from high school in New York.
He married Susan Snell November 23, 1952 in Dolgeville, New York. Mr. Jorrey was a salesman for medical supplies and later owned a dry cleaners in Rockwall, Texas. He and his wife lived in Rockwall, Texas and moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1986 until the present. Mr. Jorrey was of the Presbyterian faith and was involved in the Boy Scouts of America and the PTA in Rockwall, Texas. He served in the U. S. Army from 1948 until 1950.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Jorrey, of the home; one daughter, Valerie Cope and her husband Bennie, Ada; three sons, Kevin Jorrey and wife Debbie, Carrollton, TX, Scott Jorrey, Garland, TX, Mark Jorrey and wife Anginette, Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Robert Jorrey and wife Shirley, New York; sister-in-law, Susie Jorrey; 11 grandchildren, Shelly Glover, Melissa Allison and husband Craig, Brian Jorrey, Katie Tyler and husband Corry, Tyler Cope, Susan Cope, Brett Jorrey, Kayla Jorrey, Megan Jorrey, Shannon Jorrey, and Erin Jorrey; and one great granddaughter, Kiley Glover.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Jorrey.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, Oklahoma Chapter, 6465 S. Yale, Ste. 206, Tulsa, OK 74136-7804; or Halo Hospice, 1298 North Hills Center, Lonnie Abbott Blvd., Ada, OK 74820.
