BETTY WALKER
OKLAHOMA CITY-Services for Betty Lou Walker, 79, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Joe T. Dixon will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born December 24, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma to James Newton and Belle Locke Vick Hicks. She attended Byng and Ada schools.
She married Standridge "Stan" Walker on March 22, 1951. Mrs. Walker was employed with Brockway Glass Company retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Neal and husband Roy of Edmond, Marilyn Phillips of Nacogdoches, TX, and Janet Battles and husband David of Edmond; a son, Stan Walker and wife Jennifer of Ft. Worth, TX; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Glenn Walker and wife Joyce of Ada; and two sisters-in-law, Glenna Faust and husband Ronnie of Ada, and Doris Scott of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Helen Brown, Freda Andrews and Golda Andrews; two brothers, J. N. Hicks and Bill Hicks; two grandsons, Dale Hoehman and Zack Neal; and a great granddaughter, Taylor Burk.
Bearers will be Lynn Hoehman, Andrew Hester, Weylon Holtman, William Battles, Evan Neal, Justin Walker and Brian Roundtree.
