BETTY O'GWIN CARRIGER
ADA- Services for Betty June O'Gwin Carriger, 87, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ron Shipley will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Carriger died Thursday Oct. 23, 2014, at a local nursing home. She was born March 31, 1927, to Elmer Jake and Isabel Lewis at Skiatook. She came to this area about 1961 from Shawnee. She attended Claremore Schools. Mrs. Carriger was a homemaker, a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church and active at the Senior Nutrition Center in Ada.
She married J.S. O'Gwin Feb. 11, 1952. He preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2004. She married Frank Carriger April 2, 2004. He preceded her in death Nov. 30, 2009.
Survivors include one son, Gary O'Gwin of the home; one daughter, Betty J. "Sandy" Nichols and husband Claud of Ada; two grandchildren, Chris O'Gwin and Lindsay O'Gwin of Ada and Rachel Smith and husband Danny of Gore; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bearers will be Claud Nichols, Gary O'Gwin, Chris O'Gwin and Lucas Stonecipher.
