BETTY MURRAY
OWL CREEK-Graveside services for Betty Kathryn Murray, 88, of Owl Creek, were 2:30 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery. Rev. Barry Worcester officiated.
Mrs. Murray died Monday, June 17, 2013 at her home. She was born December 13, 1924 in the Conway Community east of Ada, Oklahoma to Olney (Blue) and Myrtle Mayer Blackburn.
She married Jack Burdell Murray on January 27, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1997 in Owl Creek. Mrs. Murray was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Lee Murray of Ada and Phillip Murray of Owl Creek; one sister, Regina Sarrett Sales of Ardmore, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olney (Blue) and Myrtle Mayer Blackburn, a sister, Josephine Latta, and a brother, J. B. Blackburn.
