Betty Lou Hooper

Graveside services for Betty Lou Hooper, 95, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Catholic Cemetery near Lexington. Fr. John P. Swaminathan and Deacon Dennis Fine will officiate.

Mrs. Hooper passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 7, 1925 in Drumright, OK to Mark A. and Tillie Mae Keylor Powell. She graduated from Ada High School in 1943.

Betty married Edward Charles Hooper December 28, 1944. He preceded her in death January 5, 2002. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Ada and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church of Purcell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Celebrating with her in her reunion in heaven are her children, Laura Jo Hooper Johnson (Bobby), Charles Daniel Hooper (Sandy), Jack Ray Hooper (Lisa); her grandchildren, Chad Johnson (Kristol), Kyle Hooper (Natalie), Shane Johnson (Gina), Kristen Hooper Walker (Billy), Dustin Johnson (Missy), Jessica Hooper, Luke Hooper (Simrin) and Jake Hooper; her great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Nathan, Owen, Mason, Maggie, Jasie, Nolan, Grace, Parker, Noni, Bladen, Evi, Jag and Katani.

Through the way she lived her life, Granny taught all of us how to live ours. The beautiful manner in which she returned to the Lord was her final and most inspiring lesson of all.
