Betty Goodwin
Services for Betty June Goodwin, 89, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mickey Keith will officiate.
Mrs. Goodwin passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at a local nursing home. She was born June 25, 1926 in Altus to Fred Carlee and Iva Mae Wolfe Vinyard. Betty graduated from high school and Nursing School.
She married Lindy "Jim" Goodwin. He preceded her in death November 25, 2011 in Tulsa. Mrs. Goodwin was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include seven daughters, Paula Farquhar and husband Tony of Tulsa, Peggy Miller of Ada, Viola Kurtz of Tulsa, Brenda Gilbert of Oregon, Sharon Keeling of San Leandro, CA, Lindy Rising and husband Jerry of Ada and Melinda Butts and husband John of New York; three sons, Bob Bratcher and wife Leslie of Stonewall, Rod Goodwin and wife Sue of Tulsa and John Goodwin of Ada; 36 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Iva Vinyard; husband, Lindy "Jim" Goodwin; two sons, Jimmy Fred Goodwin and Patrick Taylor Goodwin; and three daughters, Carol Strain, Carolyn Shewmaker and Karen Minor.
