BETTY DENHAM
NORMAN-Services for Betty Lou Denham, 83, of Norman, formerly of Fitzhugh are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Temple Diehl will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery near Roff.
Mrs. Denham died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at a Norman hospital. She was born June 20, 1930 in Fitzhugh, Oklahoma to Tomie and Sadie Wilder Sullivan. She graduated from Fitzhugh High School in 1948.
She married William Leo Denham on May 15, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1990. Mrs. Denham was a homemaker and had worked as a teacher's aide for the Ada School System for 10 years. She was a lifetime member of the Fitzhugh United Methodist Church where she had been active with the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Williams of Norman, Lou Ann Helleland and her husband Rob of Ada, and Lori Masters and her husband Curt of Norman; a son, Ron Denham and his wife Pam of Norman; seven grandchildren, Amanda Lowry and husband Travis, Alison Kirby and husband Shane, Joni Duncan and husband Tim, Tanner Helleland and wife Jeni, Stephen Denham, Preston Denham and Addison Masters, all of Norman; five great grandchildren, Carter Lowry, Greyson Lowry, Kaleb Kirby, Kassi Kirby, and Logan Kirby; four sisters, Lucille York and Bobby Peters and husband Pete, all of Fitzhugh, Phyllis Sullivan, Tulsa, and Frankye Green and husband Jerry, Midland, TX; and a sister-in-law, Betty Sullivan, Atoka. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cami Masters; two sisters, Dorothy Blanch Sullivan and Mildred Klepper; and a brother, Benton Sullivan.
Bearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Tanner Helleland, Stephen Denham, Preston Denham, Travis Lowry, Tim Duncan and Shane Kirby.
