BETTY BYRD
ADA-Memorial services for Betty Carol (Maxey) Byrd, 66, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12,2007, at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Mickey Keith officiating.
Mrs. Byrd died on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born July 1, 1941, at Ada to Orville and Beulah Price Maxey. She lived in this area all her life and graduated from Latta High School. She was a waitress at Oscar's Chinese Restaurant and retired as a caregiver. She was a member of Evangelistic Temple, was an avid student of the Bible, and wrote inspirational writings on the Bible.
Survivors include three sons, Justin Byrd and his wife Amy, Fitzhugh, Marty Byrd and his wife Cindy, Ada,; and Todd Byrd and his wife Kandy, Sulphur; four grandchildren, Brittney Byrd, Kylie Byrd, Justine Byrd and Jacques Byrd; and one great grandchild, Cadence Wade; sister, Marilyn Foltz, Abilene, Kansas; and a brother, Charles Maxey, Ada. She was preceded in death by both parents and a daughter, Shelly Byrd.
