BESSIE BRYANT
ADA-Services for Bessie Ola Bryant, 96, Ada, are 12:00 noon Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Bryant died Friday, January 2, 2009 at her home. She was born March 31, 1912 at Troup, Texas to Rasro Cullen and Annabelle Ethridge Scates. She and her family came to Ada when she was a child from Texas. She graduated from Latta High School.
She married Robert J. Bryant on February 27, 1935. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2004 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and also a licensed practical nurse. She was a longtime member of Southwest Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, David Bryant and wife Judy, Ada; two daughters, Jerry Henley, Ada, and Josie Christian and husband Eddie, Byng; grandchildren, Pete Bryant, Jeanne Combest, David Bryant, Bobby Bryant, Dirk Bryant, Chris Christian, Holly Christian, and Zac Christian; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Robert Don Bryant in 1963, five brothers, and three sisters.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Pete Bryant, David Bryant, Bobby Bryant, Dirk Bryant, Chris Christian, and Zac Christian.
