BERTIN KVINLAUG
SHAWNEE-Services for Bertin A. Kvinlaug, 70, of Shawnee, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in Rupert, Vermont.
Mr. Kvinlaug died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at his home. He was born March 16, 1944 in Cambridge, New York to Bertin Borildsen and Lillian Nelipia Aalto Kvinlaug.
Mr. Kvinlaug served in the U. S. Army from May 1965 until being honorably discharged May 1968. He was a dielectric process operator for General Electric in Ft. Edward, NY, retiring after 29 years of service. Mr. Kvinlaug moved to Ada in 2002 from New York. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ada.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise Backus of Granville, NY and Diana King of Wellston, OK; a son, Douglas Kvinlaug of Eagle Bridge, NY; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Kvinlaug; and a sister, Fern Saari.
