BERTIE BALTHROP
ADA-Services for Bertie Jewell Balthrop, 79, Ada, are 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home chapel, Rev. Bob Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Balthrop died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at her home. She was born July 13, 1931, to Cleve and Iva Jewell Pierce Stonecipher at Stratford. She had been employed as a secretary at Valley View Regional Hospital and as a sales clerk at K-Mart and Dillion's.
She and Donnie Balthrop were married Dec. 11, 1950, at Camp Polk at DeRidder, Louisiana. He died in 1978.
She is survived by Andy Morrow, of the home; four children, Donna Campbell and husband Nelson, Highland Village, Texas, Brace Balthrop, Nashville, Tennessee, Marsha Stinchcomb, Ada, and Teresa Perry, Ada; two special friends, Peggie Persinger and Brenda Hall; seven grandchildren, Amber Womack and husband Todd, Highland Village, Texas, April Quezada and husband Fabian, Ontario, California, Rhiannon Perry, Ada, Donnie Stinchcomb, Ada, Eric Perry, Ada, Cheyanne Balthrop, Nashville, Tennessee, and Brace Balthrop Jr., Nashville, Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren, Dalton Perry, Brianna Perry, Jordan Womack, Faith Quezada, Elijah Quezada, Jentry Womack and Trinity Quezada; a brother, Oliver Stonecipher and wife Ina, Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers L.D. Stonecipher and Doyle Stonecipher.
Bearers are Johnnie Stonecipher, Bobbie Ross, Robbie Haynes, Hal Sliger, Wiley Balthrop and Jeff Deaton.
