BERNIS KING
ELKHORN, WISCONSIN-Services for Bernis Laverne King, 93, Elkhorn, Wisconsin, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Van Newton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. King died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Elkhorn, WI. She was born January 23, 1915 at Asher, Oklahoma to Bruce and Martha Butts Current.
She married Alfred King on January 26, 1933. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1979. Mrs. King was formerly employed with the Latta School Cafeteria and was a sales clerk at a retail clothing store. She was also a homemaker and a longtime active member of the Southwest Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy R. King and wife Luvenia, Longview, TX, and Wayne King and wife Glenda, Ada; two daughters, Janet Aday and husband Gary, Elkhorn, WI, and Teresa Ervin and husband Ken, Euless, TX; seven grandchildren, Kim Sharp, Caldwell, TX, Kelly Howry, Ada, Greg King, Plano, TX, Mike Aday, Bellevue, WA, Chris Aday, Elkhorn, WI, Dan Ervin, Bedford, TX, and Lisa Glaspell, Bedford, TX; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, Carrie King, and a brother, Maurice Current.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Kolby Howry, Kolton Howry, Mike Aday, Chris Aday, Dan Ervin, and Greg King. Honorary bearers will be Keith Howry, Ken Ervin, Darrell Sharp, and Gary Aday.
