BERNICE L. REED
DENISON, TEXAS-Services for Bernice L. Reed, 85, Denison, Texas, formerly of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Toby Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Lula Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at a Denison, TX nursing home. She was born May 13, 1925 at Breckenridge, Texas to Benjamin Franklin and Etta Johnston Keaten.
She married Troy D. Reed. He preceded her in death in May, 1990. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a nurse's aide at Valley View Regional Hospital for eight years.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Lee Reed and wife Margaret, Tom Bean, Texas and Jimmy Ray Reed and wife Georgia, Austin, TX; three grandsons, Robert Don Reed, Arlington, TX, Roger Don Reed, Whitewright, TX, and James Mason Reed, Austin, TX; a granddaughter, Susan Elizabeth Reed, Austin, TX; a sister-in-law, Arie Ross, Ada; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Reed, CA, Hollis Reed, AZ, Dan Matlock, OK; cousins, Sandra Sue, OK, Tanner Johnston and wife Lorice, Ada, Jacky Johnston, Stonewall, Tommy Johnston, Stonewall, Judy Johnston, Sam Johnston, Davey Harrell Johnston, of Ada; and numerous other cousins in Texas and Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her oldest son, Tommy Wayne Reed.
Bearers will be Dale Zachary, Harris Zachary, Mike Welch, Jim Edwards, Lanny Murphy, and Terry Winters.
