Obituary

BERNICE VICKTORIA (LOWE) CHANEY was welcomed into our world two months early, on July 8, 1992, in Oklahoma City, OKLAHOMA by her proud parents, Edward Carl & Melanie (Vick) Lowe.

She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, partner, niece, Mama/Mommy & a great friend to all who were blessed to know her.

She was named after her Grandma Bernice, on her Mama's side, and was given the nickname Sissy, by her namesake--which is the name most of us knew her by; but it wasn't the only name she had.  Other loved nicknames given by different members of her family were Cookie, Beatrice, Bobby, and Aunt B.

She was greatly loved by all her grandparents, whom she sadly didn't get the length of time, nor full experiences.  The short time she had with them was richly spent though, and we know they are all rejoicing in the reunion now.

She was the oldest of seven children, was left-handed, was the spitting image of her Daddy, had these beautiful green/yellow cat eyes, had the best laugh that would just make her eyes GLOW in merriment--and make you laugh with her, when it came out sounding like The Count from Sesame Street...& she had a super soft-spot for children.

She was an avid fisherman & boasted proudly of her bass-catching skills to all around her.  She enjoyed sewing, was an awesome cook, and she loved listening to country music.  The Zac Brown Band and George Strait were her top favorites.  She also enjoyed going to garage sales, looking for any cool vans for sale, and hanging out with family & friends.  If any of her siblings needed her, she was the first to drop everything to go see them, help them out, or encourage them.  She was always there, willing to listen.  All a person had to do was call her.

She was baptized in 2008, and was a member of the Olney Baptist Church.  She credited her Grandma Joan with being the first Christian influence in her life, as she and her younger sister Melinah were always willing to go with her to church, starting as young as 5 years old.  Sundays & Wednesday nights were spent in Grandma Joan's company, much to Joan's delight.

She met her future husband Brennan & daughter of her heart, Isis Chaney in March, 2012.  They married and became a family on October 5, 2013, in Ravia, OK.  She, Brennan & Isis lived with Grandma Opal & Grandpa Johnny Chaney in Ravia, until Grandma Opal's passing.

She was most proud of becoming a Ni(e)ce to Isis on October 5, 2013, Mama to Amaya on June 14, 2016, & Mommy to Emmerie on December 19, 2018; but that didn't end there.  She was blessed to be Bobby to her nephew Eddie" on June 27, 2018; and Aunt B to nieces, Ivy on October 14, 2021, & Hailey on October 20, 2021.

Bernice was an employee of Globe Manufacturing Company, LLC, in Ada, OK.

Bernice was returned to Our LORD on January 3, 2022, in Union Valley, OK.

She leaves behind her three daughters:  Isis Rhiannon Chaney, Amaya Jewell Chaney & Emmerie Mae Chaney, of Milburn, OK; her Partner in Life, Brennan Chaney, of Milburn, OK; her Mama, Melanie Lowe, of Olney, OK; her four sisters--Mallory Lowe, nephew Edward Carl "Eddie" Lowe, & niece Ivy Mae Lowe, of Oklahoma City, OK; Annika Lowe & fiance' Phillip "Joseph"  Vice, niece Hailey Alivia Vice, of Ada, OK; Errika Lowe, of Pauls Valley, OK; Ayva Lowe, of Olney, OK; and one brother, Naman Lowe & girlfriend Shaelyn Smith, of Olney, OK; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.
