BENNIE HIGNITE
ATWOOD-Memorial services for Bennie Leon Hignite, 58, of Atwood will be Thursday. Family and friends may meet at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada at 1:00 p.m Thursday and go in procession to his home at 7750 E. 144th Rd. in Atwood for the service. Rev. Kenny Caldwell will officiate.
Mr. Hignite died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born September 8, 1951 at Holdenville, Oklahoma to Toie and Loretha Jean Henderson Hignite. He graduated from Star Spencer High School in 1969 and attended Penn State University.
He married Kathy Stokely on July 15, 1978 at Spencer, Oklahoma. He and his family moved to Atwood in 1980 from Spencer. Mr. Hignite was a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hignite, of the home; two sons, Matt Hignite, Del City, and Tim Hignite and wife Bonnie, Ada; his mother, Jean Camp, Atwood; his father, Toie Hignite, Allen; two sisters, Lanita Anderson and husband Darryl, Atwood, and Kristy Herman and husband David, Shawnee; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
