BEATRICE PHILLIPS
ADA-Lillie Beatrice Phillips, 94, Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada, are 11 a.m. Monday at First Free Will Baptist Church, the Revs. Richard Hays and James Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Phillips died Thursday, August 6, 2009, in Oklahoma City. She was born April 17, 1915, at Oakman to Dottis and Zora Hunt McGehee. She attended Vanoss grade school and graduated from Vanoss High School. She was a homemaker, janitor at Ada Schools Administration office, housekeeper for Max Skelton and was a home healthcare provider. She and Harvey Molton Phillips were married December 18, 1934, at Vanoss. He preceded her in death January 15, 1994. Mrs. Phillips was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Ada for 63 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Ruth Kite and husband Jackie, Fort Worth, Texas, Jenny Hankins and husband Denny, Moore, Oklahoma, Betty Smith and husband Doug, Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Fonda Hays and husband Richard, Monterrey, Mexico; one son, Hubert Phillips and wife Jeanne, Albuquerque, New Mexico; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Bearers will be grandsons, Greg Kite, Justin Hankins, Marshall Read, Jamie Henry, Micah Hays and Judah Hays.
