BARBARA MCDONALD
ADA-Services for Barbara Sue McDonald, 75, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDonald died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 27, 1938 in Ada, Oklahoma to J. M. "Mitt" Looney and Alice Bowers Looney. She graduated from Stonewall High School.
She married Ernest George McDonald on August 30, 1968 in Ada. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and had previously worked at Brockway Glass Company in Ada for 15 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stonewall, where she taught children's Sunday school class for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest McDonald, of the home; a daughter, Tamara Wallace and her husband Toby of Stonewall; three grandchildren, McKenzie Wallace, Taylor Wallace and Cody Wallace; two sisters, Margaret Stephens and Shirley Mann, both of Ada; and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two nephews, Loren Mann and Darcy Lillard.
Bearers will be Zayne James, Jason Turner, Stanley Sawyers, John Williams, Frank Patton and Carl Tackett. Honorary bearers will be Bob Turner, Donnie James, Clay Potter, Marshall Stephens, Eddie Stephens and Richard Truitt.
