Barbara Langley

Services for Barbara June Langley, 85, of Stonewall will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Langley passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at an Ada hospital. She was born December 19, 1935 in Stonewall, Oklahoma to Alvin Thurman and Vela Gladys Sliger Minor. She graduated from Stonewall High School and received a Bachelor's and Master's degree from East Central University.

She married Bobby Lee Langley December 21, 1952. He preceded her in death December 27, 2019. Mrs. Langley was a school teacher for the Stonewall School System, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Stonewall First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, LaVonda Jones, Ada and Rae Nell Simpson and husband Danny, Montgomery, TX; four grandchildren, LeaAnn Spain and husband Bill, Ada, Jayme Thompson and wife Sabrina, Germany, Josh Thompson and wife Regina, Piedmont, and Abby Simpson, Austin, TX; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Clayton and Carter Spain; and Sarah, Mason and Ella Thompson; a great-great-granddaughter, Kambri; sister, Reba Dulaney, Davis; brother, Tony Minor, Henryetta;  sister-in-law, Lynn Minor Marquis, Holdenville; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a daughter, GaeVon Jelosek; and a brother, Alvin Carlton "Bud" Minor.

Bearers will be Josh Thompson, David Scott, Christopher Spain, Carter Spain, Bill Spain and Chad King.
