ARNITA LANGSTON
MIDWEST CITY-Graveside services for Arnita Langston, 82, of Midwest City, formerly of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Monday at Lightning Ridge Cemetery, Rev. Robert Ware will officiate.
Mrs. Langston died Friday, January 27, 2012 at a Midwest City nursing home. She was born October 20, 1929 at Roff, Oklahoma to Gladdis Alois and Bessie Anderson Tracy. She attended Roff and Ada schools.
She married Weaver Dewitt Langston in 1948. She later married John Sherrick. Mrs. Langston was a home health care provider from 1983 until 1995. She was a longtime member of The River Church, formerly known as the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Irene Martin of Oklahoma City; a son, Dr. Dan Langston of Kenewick, WA; a brother, Bobby G. Tracy of Gainesville, TX; four grandsons, Michael Martin, Joseph Martin, Jeremiah Langston and David Langston; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Lanny Langston on October 31, 2006; brothers, Doc Tracy, Jim Tracy, Ben Tracy, John Tracy and Harley Tracy; and sisters, Lu Waters, Dovie Chambers and Bonnie Hodges.
